I am not frequently surprised by the conduct of the idiots that turn into my 2 acre long driveway - they are usually lost and looking for my neighbor.
But today, just as my husband and I were going to our truck to go out to eat, a car pulled inside our fence and one of the occupants jumped out. We thought they were like all the others and lost. Until I heard the male outside of the car say "You did not slap me!". We got into our truck and headed down the driveway. By that time, the driver had gotten out and both men were fighting. The driver was the larger of the two and was facing the road. They did not move back to their vehicle when we drove up.
As my husband got out, the smaller passenger went back to his side of the car. I got out when I noticed the driver stopped turning when he heard my husband get out of our truck. That is when is saw him zip up his pants!
Ok, I got a little upset. He peed on my lawn! So, I called the police. Then the driver climbed back in his car and locked his door. I went to the rear of the car to get the license number and he tried to back over me - which greatly upset my husband. I jumped out of the way and he backed up and sped off down the highway.
Where was my 12 gauge double barrel when I needed it?

Torqued
Sometimes it just seems that everything you do is against you. And today was one of those days. But I guess that it is a learning experience. A chance to examine your inner strength and stamina. A day to see if you can keep from blowing your cool. To see if you keep from telling someone off.
At the end of the day, a nice drink, a long soak in a tub and just relax.
Maybe work on my jewelry - beading. It is another hobby. It is relaxing and is slightly creative. I enjoy it. Most of the jewelry I make, I give away to family or friends. Could be an avocation after retirement. Who knows?
And then there is Painting With A Twist - http://www.paintingwithatwist.com/ - art instruction with wine. Can't get any better than that! And it is really fun. And you get artwork to hang on your wall.

Hello World
Blogging. Seems like everyone is blogging. So, I guess I will join the bandwagon.
First, a little about me. I am a nurse for 38 years, about to retire. I have lived in Texas, Louisiana, Spain, Japan, Guam, Key West. I am married and have two grown children. My interests include needlework, making jewelry, sewing, scuba diving, traveling, reading and anything to do with my grandchild.
But my primary hobby is Cowboy Action Shooting. I am a member of SASS – Single Action Shooting Society – www.sassnet.com. There are over 80,00 members world-wide.

We dress in period-correct clothing from the late 1800′s. We do timed-target shooting using reproduction guns of that period. It’s a lot of fun. We shoot with all ages – from six-year-olds to eighty-year-olds. And some of those eighty-year-olds are pretty quick.
